If you need a client to access a MSSQL server from linux there is a perfect solution available called Aqua Data Studio.
I've tested it a little and it works just great. It has most of the functions available in the Microsoft SQL Server Studio (or what is it name) and it also works with other database servers like Oracle for example.
Great Application but unfortunately the price is pretty big (more then 400$)

Am testat astazi Aqua Data Studio. Este o aplicatie grozava pentru cei care trebuie sa se conecteze la o baza de date MSSQL de pe o masina ruland Linux. Merge perfect si are majoritatea functiilor din SQL Server Studio. Partea si mai frumoasa este ca merge si pe alte baze de date, nu doar pe MSSQL.
Desi este o aplicatie superba are si un mare minus: pretul este destul de piperat trecand pragul de 400$.
